Change With Vision

Upgrade the City Hall Experience

As your mayor, I will ask the next council to direct city managers to foster an inclusive environment that rebuilds working relationships between the City and its citizens. City Hall must create an environment where our citizens, businesses, city employees, and non-profit organizations are encouraged to form working relationships for the betterment of all. City Hall employee morale, customer service, and business relationships must be elevated in order to build a more-vibrant, equitable, prosperous community for all!

Improve Gilroy's Economic Development

As Mayor, I will ask the Gilroy City Council and its city managers to review and renew our economic development plan. Whether it's monetizing city assets, securing grants, or attracting new businesses, all options must be exhausted to revitalize Gilroy before proposing a tax increase.

Reintroduce a Reimagined Garlic Festival

The Gilroy Garlic Festival Association has been an integral part of our community for over 40 years.  As Mayor I will be the first member of city council to aggressively and transparently advocate to bring back a re-imagined event.                                                            (To learn more…..)

"Greg has a vested interest in making Gilroy better for all."

Build Relationships to Engage the Entire Community

I believe in the power of collaboration. I will work tirelessly to engage with residents, businesses, non-profit organizations, and government agencies to collectively address our city’s challenges.  Our city government can’t solve Gilroy’s problems using a top down approach. Policies matter, but they are ineffective without strong relationships. To reach our full potential, City Hall must rely on and leverage the number one asset in our community, the people of Gilroy.

Develop Practical Housing Solutions

As a candidate for Mayor, I recognize that addressing homelessness is one of the most pressing challenges facing our city. I am deeply committed to the implementation of pragmatic solutions to support the unhoused.  This very serious quality-of-life issue does not  just affect those living on the streets. Homelessness is a very complex issue that requires a multifaceted approach that also meets the needs and concerns of those who are housed.
